Small, and kept like it matters
Vessel 2AL is a 29-foot motoryacht — the smallest in the collection, and the one I reach for when a guest wants everything considered: the décor set before boarding, the drinks exactly right, the details noticed before they are asked for. The deckhand on this vessel is a native English speaker with an eye for detail, and the standard of upkeep is the reason guests step aboard and go quiet for a moment.
Below deck, a cabin with a resting berth, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with a full blender — fresh margaritas at anchor are part of this vessel's day, and the shaded berth below holds the warmest hour. Behind the captain, a shaded cockpit for lunch under way. Above, a central stair through the cabin door leads to the cushioned sundeck. Two motors carry the day; light trolling rods ride along for the crossings.
FIELD NOTE
The central stair makes the sundeck workable for children from four. For guests with limited mobility, this is not the right vessel — I will say so, and suggest one that is.

Your choice of drinks, fresh guacamole and totopos, an exotic fruit platter, and a brunch board or charcuterie — cold service, composed to your preferences and confirmed before the day. Children's menus on request.
A private chef cannot be added — the galley is too small for live cooking. For a plated dinner at anchor, vessel 1L7 holds the table.

You board at the home dock, past the lighthouse at the channel mouth. The table is dressed, the blender is stowed full of ice, and the departure is early on purpose — the water south of the marina is at its calmest before midday.

The granite arches sit close off the bow. Snorkel sets go out from the swim platform; the water here holds its clarity best in the morning, before the tour traffic stirs it.

Colomitos, the smallest beach in Mexico
A pocket of sand between two green walls, barely thirty metres across. There is no dock — the yacht anchors off and you swim or paddle the last stretch. That is the constraint, and it is also why the beach stays the way it is.

Lunch ashore at Las Ánimas
A table at a beach restaurant, feet in the sand, the yacht at anchor in view. Prefer fewer footprints? Quimixto is one cove further, with a smaller kitchen and a quieter beach.

The two backrests at the bow earn their keep here — you sit upright with a margarita fresh from the blender below and the coast going by, instead of lying flat and watching sky.
With eight hours, the day reaches Yelapa — lunch and a walk through the town only reachable by sea — or the Marietas Islands, with the yacht waiting off the islands as your own private lounge.

HOLIDAY RATE ADJUSTMENT
Festive Season — December 20 to January 6: charter rates carry a +30% seasonal rate.
New Year's Eve, from 6:00pm: one evening sailing per vessel, timed for the fireworks over the bay — +80%.
Deposits for charters on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 are non-refundable. The calendar is limited by design — we recommend reserving early.

How much does it cost to charter a private yacht from Marina Puerto Vallarta?
Rates for vessel 2AL begin at 1,900 USD for four hours with up to three guests, and reach 3,500 USD for eight hours with up to eight. Every rate includes the licensed partner crew, Signature Catering, water toys, and IVA — the figure you see is the figure you pay.
Why is the smallest yacht not the cheapest?
The vessel is kept to a standard you notice the moment you step aboard, and the deckhand — a native English speaker with an eye for detail — is part of what you are paying for. If your priority is the lowest rate for the same kind of day, vessel 2RO or vessel 2IN may suit, and I will tell you honestly which fits.
Can we fish from this yacht?
Light trolling on the crossings, with four rods aboard and up to four guests fishing — for the ride, not the trophy. For a dedicated sportfishing day with the right vessel and gear, begin with the fishing charter page.
Is this yacht right for children — and for grandparents?
Children from 4 years are welcome; life vests come in children's sizes and a children's menu is available on request. The sundeck is reached by a central stair that small children manage well. For guests with limited mobility, this vessel is not the right fit — tell me when you inquire and I will suggest one that is.
Can we bring our dog?
Small dogs are welcome on this vessel outside whale season. Tell us when you inquire and we plan the day with your dog in mind, including shade and fresh water on deck.
Can we have a private chef on board?
No — the galley is too small for live cooking, and I would rather say so than promise a dinner that cannot be served well. Signature Catering is set before you board; for a plated chef dinner at anchor, vessel 1L7 is composed for exactly that.
How do I reserve?
Begin your inquiry and I reply with a considered plan for your day. A 50% deposit confirms the reservation; the balance is settled seven days before departure.
