Some of the finest beaches in the bay have no road to them.
No parking lot, no crowds, no way in by land — the only approach is across the water. This is where the yachts we curate anchor for lunch. Adults only. Come for lunch, for the sunset, or for the night.
Days from 350 USD for two by land · yachts from 2,400 USD for two · all taxes included

WHAT THIS IS
A table in the sand. The beach yours for the afternoon.
A palapa overhead, the kitchen a few steps from where you are served, and the entire beach essentially yours. Most visitors to Puerto Vallarta never see this side of the bay. My guests have it planned into their day before they ever step aboard.
SIX WAYS TO SPEND IT
How can you spend a day at
the beach with no road?
Boat and Bay, a boutique private yacht experience agency in Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit, offers six ways to reach a private beach with no road: lunch during a charter, a day on land, a sunset pickup by yacht, a jungle walk in and a sail out, one night in a villa, or the whole place. Any of them can carry a proposal, a birthday or an anniversary.

01 · TWO TO FOURTEEN GUESTS, BY VESSEL
Lunch on the beach
Your yacht anchors off the beach. A small boat lands you on the sand for a table under the palapa, the warm pool and the hammocks. Two hours, then back aboard.
Charter from 2,000 USD
Lunch from 95 USD per guest

04 · TWO TO EIGHT GUESTS
Walk in, sail out
Yacht home from 1,800 USD, by vessel
Car, guide and boat from 360 USD for two · lunch from 95 USD per guest

02 · TWO TO TWELVE GUESTS
The land day
No yacht at all. A private car to the end of the road, ten minutes by small boat under the cliffs, and the beach from noon until the light goes. Lunch, pool, hammocks, nothing scheduled. Home the same way.
Car and boat from 350 USD for two
Lunch from 95 USD per guest

05 · TWO TO EIGHTEEN, ONE VILLA OR ALL EIGHT
One night
Villa from 650 USD per night
Dinner from 120 USD per guest · in by yacht from 2,000 USD or by car and boat from 280 USD · out by car and boat 150 USD

03 · TWO TO TWELVE GUESTS, BY VESSEL
The sunset pickup
In the quiet way: car, then small boat. Out the other way: at half past four a private yacht appears off the beach, the small boat carries you out to it, and you sail home along the coast with the sun going down in front of you and a drink already poured.
Yacht home from 2,500 USD, by vessel
Car and boat in from 280 USD for two · lunch from 95 USD per guest

06 · UP TO EIGHTEEN GUESTS
The whole place
Itemised by inquiry
Dinner from 120 USD per guest · in by yacht from 2,000 USD or by car and boat from 280 USD · out by car and boat 150 USD
Want the whole place — eight villas, eighteen guests, nobody else? Small weddings and family milestones, by inquiry.

MAKE IT AN OCCASION
Add to any of the six.
The proposal
At lunch, on the sand, with the yacht waiting — home the same afternoon. Or at dinner, after dark, with letters and candlelight — in which case you stay the night. Nobody boards a boat from this beach in the dark, and I would not let you. Setting from 350 USD.
The birthday
A long lunch under the palapa for up to fourteen, the cake from the baker I use, the playlist yours. Home by yacht before the light goes, or stay and take the villas. Setting from 250 USD.
The anniversary
Lunch for two, or the night. The table I want for you is the one at the rail, and the house knows which date it is before you land. Setting from 200 USD.
THREE WAYS TO ARRIVE
TIME
WHAT TO KNOW
FROM
Private yacht from Marina Vallarta or Los Muertos
45 to 60 minutes
A swim at Los Arcos on the way. The house's boat meets the yacht off the beach.
2,400 USD for six hours, by vessel
Private car to Boca de Tomatlán, then small boat
40 + 10 minutes
I arrange the car; the boat belongs to the house. Wet feet on landing.
280 USD for two
Private car, then the guided jungle trail
40 + 45 minutes
November to May. Proper shoes, one river crossing, a guide I know. Not in rain.
260 USD for two
Every price is a starting point, all taxes included. The yacht is priced by vessel and hours; the rest is itemised per guest.
You receive one written quote before any deposit — never a surprise after.
WHY HERE
Three things worth the crossing.
A beach that goes quiet after eight.
The nearest bar is a beach club two hundred metres along the sand, open Thursday to Sunday until eight. After that, the only light on the beach is the one on your table.
A kitchen worth the crossing.
Two chefs, fish and oysters off this beach, cheese from El Tuito, house-fermented tepache and ginger beer. Every dessert is gluten-free; vegan menus with three days' notice.
A villa open to the jungle.
Wood, thatch and floor-to-ceiling windows. Air conditioning, a wide bed facing the sea, a warm pool on the rocks below. Nobody in the next villa you did not bring.
ONE NIGHT, HOUR BY HOUR
What happens on one night here?
One night at the beach with no road begins on a private yacht from Marina Vallarta at ten, with a swim at Los Arcos, lunch on the beach, a villa from three, dinner on the sand after eight, and a small boat and private car home at eleven the next morning.
10:00
MARINA VALLARTA
You board. One soft bag each — it all crosses by small boat.
10:45
LOS ARCOS
Engines off. A swim under the arches. Twenty minutes.
12:30
THE BEACH
The house's boat meets the yacht. Wet feet on landing. The yacht goes home without you.
1:00
LUNCH
On the terrace above the sand. Ask what the fishermen brought that morning.
3:30
THE POOL
The sun goes down over the water here, not behind a hill.
8:00
DINNER
The beach club has closed. Your table is lit, a fire on the sand if you want one. Almost nobody else on it.
Next morning: coffee at the villa, breakfast on the terrace from eight, the beach to yourselves until ten. At eleven the house's boat takes you to Boca de Tomatlán and a private car takes you home — or a yacht is waiting off the beach for a second day on the water.
FIELD NOTE
The bath in the villa is a deep, old-style tub with a hand shower, not a walk-in. Better you know now than at eleven at night.

GOOD TO KNOW
What should you know before you go?
Quietest days: Monday to Wednesday
The beach club plays music Thursday to Sunday, noon to eight. I place nights and sunset pickups Monday to Wednesday whenever your dates allow.
The sea decides
There is no road, so if the port closes the day moves to another date at no cost, or is refunded. Written terms before any deposit.
It is jungle
Mosquitoes at dusk, roosters at dawn. Repellent and a net are in the villa, and I pack more.
Three ways in
Private yacht, 60 minutes from Marina Vallarta. Or 40 minutes by car to Boca de Tomatlán and 10 by small boat. Or a guided 45-minute jungle trail, November to May.

BEFORE I OFFERED IT TO YOU
I ate here first.
I came by small boat, ate under the palapa, walked the villas, and talked to the chef and the barman before this page existed. Boat and Bay is a registered Mexican business; you pay me once, by card, with proper IVA invoicing and no hidden fees.
