Boat and Bay, a boutique private yacht experience agency in Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, plans bachelorette and bachelor charters for parties of two to thirty-five. Every charter is private — no other party boards. A day for up to six guests begins at 1,700 USD, IVA included.
What follows is the day itself, hour by hour, and then the decisions: which vessel fits your party, what every charter includes, and what each one costs. The vessel comes after the day, because that is the order in which it matters.
THE SHAPE OF THE DAY

MARINA VALLARTA
The departure is 10:30 and not 8:00 for one reason: nobody in your party sets an alarm the morning after arriving in Vallarta. The sparkling wine is open as the lines come off, and the mimosas carry the crossing. By mid-morning the bay has some texture to it — that is the trade for sleeping in, and for this party it is the right trade.

LOS ARCOS
The first stop is short by design. The engines cut under the arches, the first ones go in off the platform, and the first round of photographs happens while everyone’s hair is still deliberate. Twenty minutes, then south — the good anchorage is further down the coast and worth the ride.

LAS ÁNIMAS
Lunch happens at anchor, off the back, with the beach in view and none of its crowd on your deck. The water here is calm enough for the floating mat and shallow enough that nobody has to be brave. This is the long stop — nobody moves for two hours and nobody wants to.

THE TOAST
Engines off, glasses out, and the cake comes up from the galley. The toast happens at anchor because full glasses and open water do not mix, and because this is the moment someone will want to film without the wind taking the sound. Say what needs saying here. The bride will remember which cove it was.

THE RETURN
The last hour is the one the photographs come from. Everyone stopped posing at Las Ánimas; what is left is the real thing. If a photographer is aboard, this is the hour she has been waiting for all day — and the reason she boarded at 10:30 rather than for two hours in the middle.

The front deck on 2BAS is solid — no netting. Twelve people lie side by side on mattresses and nobody is balancing a drink over a trampoline. It is the reason I send bachelorette parties there first.

2IN is 38 feet and sounds like twice that. Her system is stronger than on vessels half again her size, which is why a party of six books her and never feels small. She anchors close at Las Ánimas for the long lunch.

The wind owns the first twenty minutes. Blowouts, loose hats and anything veil-like do not survive the crossing — bring the hair tie, do the photographs at anchor. Heels stay at the dock; every deck is barefoot or flat.
PART OF EVERY BACHELORETTE
Three things I do not charge extra for.
Every bachelorette charter includes a sparkling wine toast, mimosas through the morning, a fresh cake, and the music decided before you board. These are part of the day, not lines on the invoice.
The toast
Sparkling wine at boarding and the toast at anchor. Mimosas run through the morning crossing — orange, or whatever the bride drinks.
The cake
From a bakery I have used for years. Tres leches in vanilla or chocolate, or a butter cake in orange, coconut or pecan. You choose the flavour and the words on it; I collect it the morning of your date.
The music
Settled before you board — your own playlist through the sound system, a Spotify Jam the whole party queues into, or a DJ on a vessel built to carry one.
THE SOUND OF IT
How should the music work?
Music on a bachelorette charter works one of three ways: your own playlist through the vessel's sound system, a Spotify Jam that every guest queues into from her own phone, or a DJ aboard a vessel with the deck and the system to carry one. I settle this with you before the day, not on it.
The Jam is underrated — it turns the music into something the party does together, and the bride gets the last song of the day. A DJ belongs on 2BAS or 2TS, where the sound sits under the conversation instead of on top of it. And the upgrade people film is a saxophonist playing over the DJ's set on the golden-hour return.

The Small Circle
Six to ten of you, a serious sound system on a 38-foot vessel, and the long lunch at Las Ánimas. Slower water, longer stops, the whole day negotiable. A sea scooter is already aboard. From 1,700 USD.
2BR · FROM LA CRUZ
The Marietas Day
The adventure bachelorette. 2BR makes the shortest crossing to the Marietas Islands, carries her own tender and water toys, and holds access to the hidden Lover's Beach — 250 USD per person, limited, and reserved well ahead.
